The Ruicci Cup budget could result in a deficit of $354. However, the League has the funds to
make up this potential shortfall. To minimize the possible deficit, the expenditure for
trophies/prizes will be carefully limited.

 Ruicci Cup Planning Status:

All League games must be completed by Monday, March 20, in order to finalize the Ruicci
Cup Tournament game schedules. For games played between Thursday, March 16th and
Sunday, March 19th, all teams are required to contact their statistician by phone with the score of
the game. The statisticians will finalize the standings and pass them along to Ann Dobija to have
posted on the web site. Tuesday evening, March 21, teams can either check the League web site
to find out their position in the final standings, and confirm their tournament game schedule, or
contact Ann Dobija.

Teams are responsible to determine their game schedule, and will not be called. Any team
who fails to show up to a game will forfeit that game.

All teams will be required to help with the check-in process and silent auction during the
tournament. Each team needs to identify two people to volunteer for a two-hour shift. Each
scheduled time slot needs two teams. Patty Formosa provided a tentative schedule, but each
team will need to be responsible for swapping or finding substitutes if their actual game schedule
conflicts. The teams present wished to hear the specifics, so the proposed schedule was read
aloud. Ann will put the schedule, as reviewed and modified, on the web site in the Ruicci Cup
section, along with the standings.

All participating teams have paid the Tournament Fee of $340.

Marlene Lindenberg reported the final official schedule, and distributed a packet for each
team that includes official rules for the tournament. There are sections that apply to specific
divisions. Teams not present will receive their packets in the mail. (14 teams were mailed
packets that included the Schedule Waiver form to be signed and returned to the League
Secretary.)

Rules for tie-breaking were discussed. The order of shooters in a tie-breaking shoot-out will be
coach's option, with the scorekeeper keeping track of who has already taken a turn so that all
players shoot around. Marlene also reported that one undecided item was Home vs. Away
assignment, and the consensus of discussion was that the highest seed team should be Home.

Sheila VanBaalen will contact Terry Mathews (Arctic Storm) to ensure that the game boards are
created based on the latest formats. A sign for the silent auction also needs to be made. The
Silent Auction ends at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Ice times at DSC have been coordinated and reserved.

Michele Monson is coordinating the recruitment of Scorekeepers/Timekeepers and Refs.

Trophies/prizes have been determined and ordered. There will be jerseys for First Place teams
and pins and tee shirts for the Runners-up.

Sherri Wright gave a status on the souvenirs ordered for sale. Sherry described flags,
sweatshirts, t-shirts, and pins that will be specially ordered for the Tournament. The number of
items has to be limited. At the site, people will be asked to write in their requests for next year.

Ad sales for the Tournament Programs are going well. The text has been formatted; there is
still space but any new ads must be submitted by tomorrow --March 15!

Ann will contact Lisa Chiodo of the Fury to discuss the Bid Sheet formats. Items are still being
collected for the Auction.

An area fire department will be on standby to provide Emergency Medical Personnel.

Joanne Wiklund reported that a box will be present at the Tournament, for teams to drop donated
items for LCASA, a women's shelter. An item list was distributed. Items on the list are what
they need the most, but anything else is welcome.

The Ruicci Cup Trophy is now on display at DSC.

Dave Chow is having Business Cards with the MSHL website URL printed for distribution to the
players.

The remaining Fundraiser tee shirts will be sold for $3 each or two for $5. Dawn Letwin will
provide the shirts to Sherri Wright. Sherri will pull 90 shirts for the 2nd place teams.

Ann Dobija completed and mailed in the Tournament Sanction Form along with the $100 fee.
Two signatures are required from MAHA officials in order for the tournament to be sanctioned.

Sheila VanBaalen will contact the Statisticians to coordinate the completion of the standings on
March 20th. The standings need to be sent to Ann to post on the web site. Teams are
responsible to view the site or contact Ann to find out when they play no shows are forfeits.
